Torres del Paine Entrance Ticket: How to Buy It Before Your Tour
Day tours to Torres del Paine do not include park entry. How to buy the CONAF ticket online, what it costs, and the Milodon Cave ticket.

Almost no Torres del Paine day tour includes the park entrance. You buy it yourself, online and in advance, on CONAF’s official site pasesparques.cl. CONAF is Chile’s forest service, which runs the park. If you are travelling with a tour, bus or boat operator, buying ahead is the only option: the self-service machines at the park gates are meant for people arriving in their own car. At the time of writing a one-day pass for foreign adults costs roughly CLP 32,000–34,000 and a multi-day pass CLP 48,500. Check the official site for the current price before you pay.

Why your tour does not include it
Look at the “not included” list on any of the day tours on this site, from the Puerto Natales full day tour to the Base Torres hike. Park entry is there on every one. The ticket is personal: it is issued against your passport or ID number, one QR code per visitor, and it cannot be transferred. That is why operators leave the purchase to you.
At the park entrance, usually Laguna Amarga or Serrano depending on the route, rangers check each visitor’s ticket. On the small-group Torres del Paine tour, for example, the guide stops at the Laguna Amarga gate so everyone can show their ticket before continuing into the park. Our breakdown of that tour →
What it costs
Approximate CONAF prices for foreign visitors at the time of writing:
| Pass | Foreign adult (18–59) |
|---|---|
| One day | Roughly CLP 32,000–34,000 |
| More than one day | CLP 48,500 |
Published figures for the one-day pass vary slightly between sources, and Chilean residents pay much less. Reduced prices apply to teenagers and children, so check the age bands on pasesparques.cl.
How to buy the ticket, step by step
- Go to pasesparques.cl and choose Torres del Paine National Park. The site has an English version.
- Pick your date and pass type. For a day tour, the one-day pass is enough. Choose the multi-day pass if you will enter on more than one day.
- Select visitor type and age group. Foreign visitors and Chilean residents are priced separately. If your group mixes both, select each group separately but pay in one basket.
- Enter each visitor’s passport or ID number exactly as it appears on the document you will carry on the day.
- Pay by card. Prices are in Chilean pesos, so your card’s exchange rate sets the final cost.
- Download or screenshot the QR code. There is little or no phone signal inside the park, so do not rely on opening an email at the gate.
Buy a day or more before your tour. Some sources say CONAF requires the purchase at least 24 hours ahead, and it costs nothing to be early.
The Milodon Cave has its own ticket
Many day tours stop at the Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument on the way back to Puerto Natales. It is a separate CONAF site with its own entrance fee, also sold on pasesparques.cl. Buy it with your park ticket if your tour includes the cave, such as the Full Day Torres del Paine + Milodon Cave or the small-group tour.
